The OCCC/EDC is currently accepting nominations for our 2012 Awards Banquet. Each year we recognize outstanding citizens and business persons within our community for a job well done. Listed below are descriptions for each award along with nomination form link. Please take a moment to mention those whom you feel are worthy of recognition and appreciation.
Outstanding Business Person of the Year – individuals being nominated for this award should have made an outstanding contribution to the community in the area of business entrepreneurship and/or economic development in the past year.
Outstanding Community Volunteer of the Year – individuals or groups being nominated for this award should have made outstanding contributions through volunteerism in the county/community in the past year.
T. Perry Wesley Community Leader Award – Individuals being nominated for this award should demonstrate and communicate a strong sense of community, family values, and good business practices. This award is for visionary leaders in the area of community promotion, economic growth and enrichment – a person who gives back to Owen County by showing leadership and commitment to the citizens and businesses of our community.
HomeTown Hero Award – Individuals being nominated for this award should have been involved in some sort of heroic display of bravery in the past year. They should demonstrate a clear sense of selfless sacrifice and compassion for others, setting an example in civic engagement and pride.
