Welcome to the Owen County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Corporation web pages. The Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation merged in to one Corporation in January 2003. Our purpose is listed below.

Mission Statement/Purpose

To help create, maintain, and improve employment opportunities for Owen County residents and expand the economic tax base.
To provide assistance to businesses located in Owen County and work for expansion of business opportunities in the county. This may be done through seminars, workshops, and development and use of a data base on businesses.
To aid government units within the county in obtaining resources, grants, etc. both public and private that will benefit Owen County residents and to assist with grant administration as possible.
To promote and assist in providing enrichment activities for county residents including educational activities relating to work force development.
To receive any real or personal property, tangible or intangible, by grant, gift or bequest from individual, foundation, corporation, or government entity to be used for the benefit of Owen County residents.
To make grants or provide assistance to activities of charitable or educational purpose.
